How the plan picker works

TradingView’s plans differ mainly in their limits: indicators per chart, charts per tab, alerts, watchlist size, replay history and how far back you can scroll. Answer the questions that matter to you and the picker shows the cheapest plan that meets every one, and which of your answers decided it. There’s no point paying for Premium if Essential covers everything you do, and no point buying Essential if what you really need is ten indicators.

Prices shown are per month when billed annually; TradingView says annual billing saves up to 17% compared with paying monthly. Before you buy, check whether there’s a TradingView sale running, and see our TradingView discounts guide. Every limit is listed side by side on TradingView plans compared.

Limits and prices from TradingView’s pricing page, October 2026; TradingView can change them, and your local price may differ. ChartWatch is independent. Links to TradingView are affiliate links: if you subscribe through them, ChartWatch may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

FAQ

Which TradingView plan is best for beginners?
Many beginners start on the free Basic plan. If you need more than 2 indicators on a chart, more than one chart at a time, alerts on indicators or more than 30 symbols in a watchlist, Essential is the cheapest paid plan that adds them.
What's the difference between TradingView Essential and Plus?
Plus doubles or more most limits: 10 indicators per chart instead of 5, 4 charts per tab instead of 2, 100 price and indicator alerts instead of 20, and a year of intraday replay instead of 180 days.
Which TradingView plan has watchlist alerts?
Premium includes 2 watchlist alerts and Ultimate 15. Essential and Plus don't include them.
Is the free TradingView plan enough?
It is if 2 indicators per chart, 1 chart per tab, 3 price alerts and one watchlist of up to 30 symbols cover what you do. The picker above shows exactly which of your needs it doesn't cover.
