Your trades are saved in this browser only. Nothing is sent to ChartWatch. Save a backup now and then so you never lose them.
How to use this trading journal
- Add a trade. Pick the date, type the symbol, choose Long or Short, choose Win, Loss or B/E (break-even), and type the amount. That’s it. Use the profit or loss your broker shows, after fees.
- Add details if you want. Open More details to note the entry, exit, size, a setup tag, a link to your TradingView chart and your thoughts. Add the amount risked to see each trade as an R-multiple (for example, risking $100 and making $250 is +2.5R).
- Check your numbers. Net P&L, win rate and your average win and loss update straight away. Switch to Calendar to see your green and red days, or open More stats for profit factor, drawdown, an equity curve and which symbols and setups actually make you money.
- Tap any trade to edit or delete it.
Saving a TradingView chart with your trade
On TradingView, click the camera icon at the top of the chart (or press Alt+S) and choose Copy link. Paste that link into the TradingView chart link box, and the snapshot of your setup stays with the trade. It’s the quickest way to review what you saw when you entered.
Your data stays with you
There’s no account and nothing is uploaded: trades are saved in this browser on this device, and they’re still here when you come back. Because of that, clearing your browsing data would erase them, so click Save backup now and then. To move to another phone or computer, open the journal there and click Restore backup; trades already in the journal are skipped, so restoring twice is safe. Export to Excel gives you a CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
What the stats mean
- Win rate: the share of winning trades, not counting break-even ones.
- Profit factor: total won divided by total lost. Above 1 means you’re making money overall.
- Expectancy: your average result per trade, wins and losses together.
- Max drawdown: the biggest drop from a high point in your balance to a later low.

The journal runs entirely in your browser and stores data only on your device. ChartWatch is independent and doesn’t give trading advice.
