How to add an indicator to a TradingView chart

  1. Click “Indicators” in the toolbar at the top of the chart.
  2. Search by name, or browse the tabs: Technicals for TradingView’s built-in indicators, Fundamentals for company financial data, and Community Scripts for indicators published by other users.
  3. Click an indicator to add it to the chart. Repeat for more, up to your plan’s limit.

Faster: press Ctrl + K (⌘ + K on Mac) to open Quick search, which can insert indicators as well as find tools and settings. Not sure what an indicator does? Click the ? icon next to its name to open TradingView’s explanation.

Save your favorite indicators

Click the star next to an indicator’s name to add it to your favorites. Favorites appear in the Favorites tab of the indicators dialog, so the ones you use often are always one click away. The same star works for drawing tools, timeframes and chart types.

Use indicator templates

An indicator template saves a whole set of indicators so you can apply them to any chart at once.

Note: a template doesn’t raise your limit. Each indicator in it still counts towards the indicators allowed on that chart.
